Mission Statement

“To provide quality herbal medicine education with excellence in clinical practice”

This is achieved by:

  • Remaining current with the latest research in herbal medicine

  • Drawing course material from many different authoritative sources

  • Maintaining the course to the standards required by the New Zealand Association of Medical Herbalists and the New Zealand Qualifications Authority

  • Encouraging people (both male and female) from many different ethnic, economic and personal backgrounds to study herbal medicine

  • Encouraging students to study in depth individual aspects of herbal medicine by following their special interests

  • Recognizing that we cannot be all things to all people and referring clients on where necessary

  • Abiding by the Code of Ethics of the New Zealand Association of Medical Herbalists, and any legislation concerning natural therapies.

It is our goal to graduate students who have acquired the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills from which they can establish themselves as medical herbalists within the natural therapies industry of New Zealand.
