Comment: Foresight Organisation for the promotions of preconception care is a British organisation. They have ben promoting preparation for pregnancy for many years. The second study above indicates 81 % of the 37% that were previously infertile had babies by the end of this study. Also indicated by this study was the success with miscarriage prevention - no miscarriages whereas in a usual population of 367 couples, 70 miscarriages would be expected. Likewise for babies born with malformations - none in this group, whereas in a population of 367 couple who had not completed a preconception programme, 6 malformations would be expected. This research was completed in 1994, which is a while ago now. So over the last few years, Forsight has completed more research.
Foresight Research 2010
Foresight have just completed a Survey of their results from 2002 to 2009
Group 1
1,568 couples completed the full Foresight programme. 1,122 babies were born. 81.9% success rate. There were 52 pairs of twins and 3 sets of triplets. There were 4 miscarriages. At present there are 220 ongoing pregnancies of 7 are twin pregancies
Group 2
518 couples did a part programme, but did complete it. They had 358 babies. 63.7% success rate. Of these there were 39 miscarriages, 37 pairs of twins and there are 9 ongoing pregnancies
Overall, the average birth weight including the multiple births was 7lb, 7½oz
Prior to going to Foresight our population had 2,383 failed IUI (success 162)(1 in 15.7 or 6.3%) 3,004 failed IVF (success 407)(1 in 8.4 or 11.4%) and 1,081 failed ICSI (success 211)(1 in 5 or 16.5%)
I have been working in this area now for 16 years (as previously stated) and honestly, most of my couples have a baby - well over 90% - almost 100%. The combination of herbal medicaine, supplements, dietary and lifestyle changes, fertility awareness is extremely POWERFUL
